The outbreak has spread to 49 health zones in five provinces, with 33 still active. 151 health workers infected and 44 deaths. Uganda declared the end of its outbreak on 28 July after the last patient was discharged 16 July; WHO will continue 42-day enhanced surveillance. Uganda's Ministry of Health declared the end of the 2026 Ebola (Bundibugyo virus) outbreak. Uganda reported 20 confirmed cases (15 imported, 5 local), 18 recoveries and 2 deaths; the last confirmed case was on 21 June and the last patient was discharged on 16 July. The declaration was supported by fully traced transmission chains and enhanced surveillance with no further community transmission. UNICEF released a revised six-month response plan for DRC's 17th Ebola outbreak. As of 10 July: DRC 1,873 confirmed cases and 672 deaths (CFR 35.9%). Response scaled from 21 to 51 affected and high-risk health zones across Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, Haut-Uélé and Tshopo.
